The company was established on Jan 2015. However, on 1st October 2018, aBit got incorporated as ABIT Private Limited under the companies act 2016 of Bhutan.
- I handle the infrastructure and networking projects for ABIT including system integration and administration.
- ABit Private Limited, is a registered Bhutanese Company with its office located at Babesa, Thimphu, Bhutan focused on providing a complete IT solution to the Bhutanese market. - Company Overview: The only reinsurance company in Bhutan is GIC-Bhutan Re Ltd, which is a component of the government's Foreign Direct Investment initiative.
- I served as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Deputy General Manager for just over six years.
- When I first started working for the company in 2016 as Head of IT, I was in charge of setting up the complete IT infrastructure (network, database, servers, websites, etc.) as well as deploying and overseeing the Reinsurance system.
- Owing to my ability to multitask, the previous management gave me the administration department, where I was responsible for overseeing the HR, Procurement, and Administration teams in addition to the IT Department.
- I was additionally appointed as CRO, where I built ERM policies and risk registers in addition to successfully implementing enterprise risk management (ERM) inside the organization.
- The only reinsurance company in Bhutan is GIC-Bhutan Re Ltd, which is a component of the government's Foreign Direct Investment initiative.

- My focus shifted to the Core Banking and System administration, where I gained expertise in Database Administration using Oracle 11g and supported the Core Banking System that was acquired from Oracle under the name 'FLEXCUBE' and running on HP-UX.
- I held the position of ATM Support Leader, where I was primarily responsible for the additional features and amenities (Value Added Services) that the bank introduced.
- I led brand-new system integration initiatives for T Bank Ltd. including the Internet Banking System, SMS Banking, and POS System.

- I became familiar with the JBOSS system, which was utilized for billing, through my work there as an Application and Software Engineer under the Billing and Caller Ring Back Tone (CRBT) program.
- My areas of expertise were system administrator, CRBT maintenance, and monthly postpaid bill runs.
- I also went to seminars on core networks and intelligent networks.
- The most valuable lesson I took away from this experience was how to collaborate with people from different countries.
- I had to work closely with advisors and consultants from China, India, Bangladesh, and other places.
- Additionally, it improved my communication and interpersonal skills.
